“In the past I chose to write about the things I liked, the things I felt passionate about and share my love of photographs. Before long, I had a small following of people that enjoyed reading what I’d written, and this was amazing in itself, as really, I’d never expected anyone to enjoy anything I’d written in my own little space on the Internet. Months and years passed, and the following grew to thousands (somehow). Now my little space under the name “ETERNALRIAN” has expanded to Google Blogger with blogs that are viewed over millions of times. I would like add that the most important thing is not being afraid of hurtful opinions. You just need to get by and do what you like, because it’s the only way to achieve something. My life changed completely just in 3 years. I can’t even imagine what would happen with my life, if I wouldn’t have started my blog…” -Ruslan Komarovski
When you pursue things you’re passionate about, sometimes dreams you never even dreamt of come true. That is the case for fashion blogger Ruslan Komarovski. Starting his blog in 2013, Ruslan would have never thought his brand would become so popular. “In the very beginning I couldn’t even imagine that I would have this huge amount of followers. I created my Instagram page, where I have been posting simple everyday photos. However, the idea of founding the “ETERNALRIAN” label came to me at the end of 2014,” Ruslan says. The blog became an instant hit and definitely has a promising future as Ruslan (who is just in high school by the way) continues to grow and develop himself!
Getting started
ETERNALRIAN wasn’t Ruslan’s initial plan. Ruslan took inspiration from YouTube bloggers initially. He even created a YouTube channel of his own. After doing just a few videos, Ruslan came to the conclusion that videos were not the route he wanted to go. “I realized that talking with the camera and video montage is not my thing. Eventually, I noticed that I could still have my blog, just in a different way, for example blog posting on my own website. That is why I created my personal website www.eternalrian.com. I wasn’t expecting to have more than 6M visitors in just over 2 years,” Ruslan says.
The Future
Ruslan has big plans for the future. He plans to continue to expand his blog. “I have big plans for “ETERNALRIAN” website, I want to expand it. I’m still in high school, so I spend a lot of time studying and I don’t have much time to spare. I noticed that the statistics of my website are falling. Therefore, in 2017 I’m planning to completely refresh my webpage. That means new design, every week new blog post and maybe I will start filming video lookbooks. I really hope that I will manage to do all of those things,” Ruslan says. Even with statistics currently falling for Ruslan, he still has very promising future. Beyond that, Ruslan doesn’t find importance in the numbers his site does, But in the message he puts out to his viewers. “My main goal is 100% to inspire others and also challenge myself. I absolutely love the entire process of taking video, editing, uploading and the entire process. Starting with almost nothing and Turning it into something is inspiring for myself and my viewers also really love the process. Overall, my main goal revolves around a positive environment, inspiring content and motivation,” Ruslan explains.
What style/fashion accessory is your favorite?
Watch, for sure. Wherever I go, it’s always on my wrist. Usually, I use Apple Watch, because I can easily reply to text messages or answer the phone call and talk to someone. It saves a lot of my time.
What are you reading these days?
Recently I came across CAPTURE YOUR STYLE by Song of Style. It’s about how to expand your Instagram page and make your life better. I really recommend this book, because you will learn something new for sure.
Who do you consider the icons in the men’s fashion industry?
In my opinion, the icon in the men’s fashion industry is David Beckham, because he has the best style. As you know,he has his own clothing line in H&M. I can tell you that when David Beckham’s clothing appears in Lithuanian stores, I am the first one in the line! Moreover Beckham has his own fragrance label. It’s my favourite and I can’t live without them.
