From childhood imagination to an adulthood creation, Tanner Mann has created a tiny empire called “The Life of a Womann.” Inspired by her love of fashion and beauty, “The Life of a Womann” is Tanner’s way to creatively expression her passions and share her favorite tips and tools. “I have taken my love for beauty and fashion and created a tiny empire that focuses on fashion/makeup inspiration, product reviews, YouTube videos, and lifestyle information. I am the author of The Life of a Womann, run a daily Instagram account, a YouTube channel, and continue to be active on all social media accounts every day. My goal is to inspire others to follow their dreams and provide information on fashion and makeup,” Tanner says.
Growing Up
Tanner was a very creative child. Her favorite pass time was drawing. She loved to sketch fashion designs and while her career path deviated from being an artist, Tanner found a more fitting way of being able to communicate her version of art. “When I was younger I loved to draw. I actually wanted to be an artist at the time of believing you could be anything you set your mind to. My mom created a portfolio to store all of my “artwork” in and I continued to create and fill the folder. A few years back I found this exact folder and started to flip through the pages to reminisce and see how things have changed since then. To my surprise, not much had altered. I found drawings of outfit inspiration for certain events, such as date night, sporting events, girls days, etc. I created every detail down to the neck and earrings that would correspond with each outfit. I found this folder after beginning my own fashion journey and was so inspired and reminded that this is who I am,” Tanner recalls.
Moving on to high school, Tanner began to find that her interest were shifting. She began to take on more of a passion for fashion and style. “My passion for fashion and style began in high school. I was really into watching reality T.V shoes, such as Keeping Up with the Kardashians and The Real Housewives of Orange County. The number one reason for my obsession for this type of show was to see how their makeup artist did their makeup and how they styled their wardrobe and decorated their house. That’s still the reason for my love of these luxurious living shows. I started wearing heels to school my senior year of high school and that’s when it all began,” Tanner explains.
Getting Started
With a creative vision and a passion for fashion. Tanner began to explore hobbies that allowed her to combine her interests. As many others of this generation, Tanner turned to social media to fulfill her craving to share her artistic expression, however, there was a spark about Tanner that led her to venture off into something more than she expected. “I began this journey with an Instagram account dedicated to makeup. I started by posting looks every day and new products that were totally worth the splurge. I began getting questions about my clothing and lifestyle products. That is when I decided it would be easier to bring it full circle and have a corner of the internet dedicated to my take on beauty and fashion. I knew nothing about blogging so it took a few months for me to get the hang of it and I’m still learning every single day,” Tanner expresses.
Expanding from social media to a full blown blogging site, Tanner is not afraid to venture off into new ideas. Her latest craze has been vlogging or video blogging. “YouTube is a huge part of my life. I love watching others share their life on the internet and open it up to the world. I decided it would be a fun way to share a little more about my life and who I really am. It’s easier to show your personality and the real life of Tanner Mann via video,” Tanner says. Her video touches has made it much easier for her to connect with her audience and giving everyone a glimpse of her everyday life.

Moving Forward
Tanner has plans of continuing to expand her empire. Everyday she works towards not only expanding her content, but developing her own personal style to display. “A lot goes into developing a blog and focusing on your personal style. I spend a lot of time researching the latest trends and putting pieces together in my head before going on a witch hunt for the perfect items. I actually create outfits in my head before I begin looking for those pieces in stores. It’s a way to keep my style personal and not always inspired by others. My goal is to one day become a full time blogger/vlogger. This is where my full heart and passion lies and I am working as hard as I can to make my dream a reality,” Tanner says.

What are your 3 essential productivity tools, how do you use them, and why do you love them?
The Later app is one that I can’t live without. In this app you can upload photos to see how they will look on your Instagram feed without uploading it to Instagram yet. If you are someone who cares about a cohesive feed like I do, this will be your best friend.
My calendar keeps my entire life in check. I’m a little old school and do not use an electronic calendar. I keep my physical, paper-back, planner with me at all times to see what’s going on and where I need to be.
Hootsuit is another really helpful app for scheduling posts and saving some time.
