What about discovering new styles to incorporate into your look and style?
New styles are always fun to try out and I always do give them a try, but as mentioned, I like pieces that can be worn in various outfits, in different ways. I also like to just subtly add in a new style instead of going 100% full-on, simply because it takes me time to warm up to things, too!
Think about the 80/20 rule; if you get 80% of your impact from 20% of what you do, what is that 20% for you as it pertains to developing and expressing your personal style?
Knowing what compliments you and suits you is the no. 1 most important! Whenever I’m trying out a new trend, I always make sure I feel comfortable, I feel like myself, and I feel good and confident in it. If either of those feelings aren’t there, I skip the trend.
What style/fashion accessory is your favorite?
Bracelets! Because you can look down at your arms anytime to see them (whereas you can’t see your necklaces/earrings as easily)
If you can/could consider yourself an expert in one
area of new style/fashion, what would it be?
It would be knowing how to make sure my legs appear longer than they really are. Because I have a long torso and short legs!
Can you give me a tutorial on how people can best incorporate that style/fashion advice in their life?
I’m not a model or a movie star; I’m just a normal, average person, and I find it easiest to really incorporate styles from people like me because our lifestyles, body shapes etc would be more similar. I would say find someone who is perhaps in the same field/city/age/body type as you and learn from them!
