Yasmin Elzomor gave us a reminder that when it comes to fashion simplicity is key. If you recall, she helped us rekindle our love for the classic t-shirt and jeans combo. Yasmin applies that same principle to her everyday life as well. It’s the simple things in life that really keep us going, but in the lively of New York city, simple isn’t always the obvious option. Luckily, Yasmin was willing to reveal where she finds her simple joys in the midst of the hustle and bustle of New York city. Check out these great spots!
Grab a quick, healthy meal?- By Chloe is one of my favorite places to grab a delicious and healthy meal as well as Hu Kitchen.
Workout outdoors?- In the fall and spring I love going to Gantry State Plaza Park in Long Island City and getting a quick workout in. I also love going to Francis Lewis Park in Whitestone. I lived in Whitestone til I was 4 years old and as a kid I would always go to that park with my family so it makes me happy going there now.
Enjoy nature?- It’s hard to enjoy nature in New York City since there isn’t much around but I try to spend as much time as I can in local parks. I enjoy going away on weekend retreats in Upstate New York, it helps me reset and it allows me to seriously immerse myself in nature
See art?- There are so many cool galleries and exhibits in the city so it’s really spontaneous but that’s what I love most! The Whitney is by far my favorite spot.
Have a cup of tea or coffee?- I am a total tea fanatic so I’m always on the lookout for cute tea spots/coffee shops. One place I am in love with is Tea Bar, it’s a small but cozy spot in Williamsburg and it’s my go-to place.
